ROCKY RIVER – Fred Sokol, Chair – Stop Abortion in Rocky River Committee is convinced since last Tuesday, March 17^th.  A spiritual battle between good and evil is being waged in front of Rocky River Medical Center [Planned Parenthood] at 20800 Center Ridge Road in Rocky River, Ohio.   Where the “Abortion pill (medication abortion) … up to 9 weeks after the start of your last menstrual period.” is offered.

• “To stop abortion in Rocky River we must take on and stop Satan in Rocky River who is behind the abortion industry.  That is why our prayers will be the only way we will accomplish this”, says Sokol.

“On Tuesday evening March 17, 2009 in front of Rocky River Health Center [Planned Parenthood] … as I was praying the Rosary with my fellow ‘prayer warriors’ and displaying my graphic abortion signs to the oncoming motorists on Center Ridge Road.  Satan reared his ugly head to me and through prayer to Jesus forced the devil to reveal him self to me.”

• “I was verbally attacked by a pro-death motorist as he slowly drove to the center of Center Ridge Road directly across the street from me.  Yet he continued to slowly drive east down Center Ridge Road.” 

• “He babbled in an incoherent and antagonistic way against my pro-life stand, while looking directly at me through his open car window.”

• “I intently looked straight at him for I knew who he was.  I raised my hand [and holding my Rosary] made the sign of the cross at him and prayed quietly [he could not hear my prayer], “May the evil spirit Satan, leave that person, I ask this in Jesus Name, Amen.”

• “Once I finished my prayer with the words, “… in Jesus Name, Amen.”

• “The antagonistic and babbling man was a block down Center Ridge Road from me.  His answer to me when he saw me make a sign of the cross at him.” 

• “His demeanor changed from antagonistic … to sheepish and timid.  His speech changed from babbling … to speaking loud and clear as he said, “I am not of Jesus.  That does not affect me.” 

• “Questions: Who is the only one not of Jesus?  Who is the only one that challenges Jesus Power over them?  Answer: Satan”, says Sokol.

• If we only knew and believed how powerful our prayer can be.

• Prayer can call on the power of God Who made Heaven, Earth and Mankind to assist us.

• Prayer can also subdue and disarm Satan and the evils and the perversions he propagates in this World.

• Prayer can also stop abortion in Rocky River, Ohio.

HOW DO WE PRAY?

• To pray we must first wrap ourselves in Christ’s Humility, Mercy and Justice.  Be willing to live and accept God First, Ourselves Last.  To ask God for forgiveness of our wrongdoings and to forgive those who mistreat us and who mistreat others.  We should also be willing to correct others when they do wrong and to humbly accept correction from others when we do wrong as well.

   

IN CLOSING.

• Then we need not be afraid to pray to and to trust in God’s intercession to stop abortion in the World, in America and in Rocky River, Ohio.

•  With God anything is possible.

MEDITATION: FOOTPRINTS [Author Unknown]

One night a man had a dream.  He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD.  Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. 

For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand.  He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints.  He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it.  “LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you’d walk with me all the way.  But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints.  I don’t understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.”

The LORD replied, “My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you.  During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then I carried you.”

PRAYER: GOD FIRST, OURSELVES LAST [Author Unknown]

Dear Lord Jesus,

I need You.  I can’t live the Christian life by myself.  When I try to do that, my struggle ends in failure and defeat.  I need You to take over my life and live Your life through me.  I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, and You rose from the dead to bring me new life.  I am sorry for all my sins.  Please forgive me.  I forgive anyone who has offended me.  I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord.  I turn over my whole life, every detail of my life to You.  Take control of my life.  Help me to be the kind of person You want me to be.  Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life.  Please send Your Holy Spirit upon me to fill me with love for the Father and for You and to guide and direct me in everything I do and say.  I ask this in Your Name, Jesus Christ my Lord, Amen.
