HELP THE 'FINANCIALLY TROUBLED' ROCKY RIVER CITY SCHOOLS!

To: Rocky River City School District, Rocky River City Government, Rocky River Business Community and Fellow Residents,

I call on Rocky River City Hall, the Rocky River City School District, the Rocky River Business Community and the Residents of Rocky River - to work together - to help the ‘financially strapped’ Rocky River City School District.

1.     To find a ‘financial solution’ that is equal and fair to all Rocky River property owners - to ‘successfully fund’ Rocky River City Schools – now and into the future.

2.      Though, Rocky River City Schools feel ‘new home buyers’ need to pay higher tax assessments – for their new home purchases.  Don’t you think these new home buyers who are assessed more - feel ‘it is unfair’ that all of the other Rocky River home owners that don’t have newly purchased homes - are not assessed as high as them?

3.      So, I still stand firm, that the Rocky River Schools should not assess new home buyers with 'higher taxes' while other homes in Rocky River are not.

4.     Also, my 'Proposed Rocky River Charter Addition' to 'Limit SCHOOL and CITY GOVERNMENT Spending, Taxes and Surplus' is still in play - if no new school funding agreement can be reached with residents and/or if another school tax levy is sent to taxpayers before 2008.

WHY DO THE ROCKY RIVER CITY SCHOOLS NEED FINANCIAL HELP?

1.      Rocky River City School District ‘tax income’ is down.

2.      Rocky River City School District ‘expenses’ are up.

3.      Rocky River City School District enrollment has ‘increased’ by 25%.

WHY DO WE WANT ROCKY RIVER CITY SCHOOL’S TO BE FINANCIALLY SUCCESSFUL?

  1. Rocky River City School’s are teaching Rocky River’s future Citizens and Leaders.  Rocky River City Schools need to be successful to guarantee Rocky River’s future success.

  1. Our children and we as parents - have benefited from the teaching, guidance and support of Rocky River’s City School Staff.

  1. We are all Rocky River citizens and taxpayers.  As citizens and taxpayers – we have a vested interest and responsibility in the success of Rocky River’s schools and of our community as a whole!

IN CLOSING.

The current Rocky River City School District’s financial hardship should have the attention of - The Rocky River Government, Schools, Businesses and Residents combined!

If we work together as a community - we can seek and solve The Rocky River City School District’s financial problem – sooner rather than later.

I already offered my time and help to a Rocky River City School Official - for the ‘financially troubled’ Rocky River City School District.

How about you!

Thank You!
