MERRY CHRISTMAS 2006!

To: Rocky River City School District, Rocky River City Government, Rocky River Business Community and Fellow Residents,

Christmas is in our midst and a New Year is about to begin!

Our God is truly With Us!

Hi!  My family and I, wish you and yours a Merry, Joyous and Safe Christmas and a Happy New Year!

May all the Joy, Peace and Hope you gave so freely to others.  Be given back to you and yours by ‘Him’ this Christmas and Forever!  May you see that gift through your loved one’s Joy, Laughter and Love!

Lord also on this Christmas, Bless and Heal, all your people - especially the residents of Rocky River.

We especially pray for those who ‘respect, support and protect life’ from conception to the grave in our community.  As Our God is the ‘Author Of Life’ surely we can protect the lives He created.

Speaking of Life, Bless and Protect Lord, those who have offered their lives both living and deceased - who sought the protection and security of each one of us Americans – while in the U.S. Military, or in our State and Local safety forces.  Bless and Keep their families safely in Your Hands as well!

We also pray for our community leaders both 'elected and non-elected'.  That they possess the courage and wisdom to let the people lead while they the leaders, follow.  Surely, Abraham Lincoln's words at The Gettysburg Battlefield and the words embossed on the wall as you enter Rocky River's Community Center mean something to Americans and Rocky River residents?  The words "Of, By and For The People" are both found in U.S. President Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address and at the Rocky River community center.  Imagine that.

Also Lord, lead our residents both young and old, to selfless service, leadership and participation in our city and in our city government.  So they may benefit their fellow residents.  Even if their efforts fail or succeed – may their efforts leave a lasting example for us all to follow.

Lord on this Christmas – grant also to all residents true respect for each other!  Help us also to foster a true desire to make every individual resident feel a part of our community.  So they know - we will never turn our backs on them – especially in their time of need.

Finally Lord give us courage, conviction and compassion to help those who are 'bowed down' in hopelessness and despair.

For us, who are bowed down and find this Christmas Time too hard to bear.

For us, who say, “Where are you Christmas?”

We Pray, ‘The God Who Is With Us’, sustain you and yours in your time of need, still your fear and despair, and bring you ‘His’ Joy, Peace and Healing at this Christmas and forever.

He overcame the World.  He assures us we will as well!

In closing, It’s Christmas my friend.  He’s in the manger now!  Embrace Him.  Oh, the Joy He brings!

This is, our ‘Christmas and New Year Wish and Prayer’ for you and yours and for our community.  Amen.

From me and my family, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Sincerely,

Fred Sokol and Family
