ROCKY RIVER – Fred Sokol, Chair – Stop Abortion in Rocky River Committee asks: “What good can come from Rocky River, Ohio … when on Monday, March 13, 2000 their Rocky River Council passed a City Law: “ to preserve and protect … a woman’s right to an abortion;” … in Rocky River, Ohio?” [AMENDED ORDINANCE NO. 94-99]

• Perhaps [the late] Mother Teresa of Calcutta can answer that, "Any country that accepts abortion, is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what it wants." [U.S. National Prayer Breakfast in Washington D.C. February 3, 1997]

• “Is Rocky River teaching its citizens to love?  Is Rocky River consumed by violence to get what it wants”, asks Sokol, “and has Rocky River become poor … because of protecting abortion in Rocky River?  Consider the following.

Is the City of Rocky River teaching its people to Love?

• Stand and Pray with me and the Rosary for Life Group at Rocky River Planned Parenthood.  As we see women and teenage girls enter [into the building that Rocky River Planned Parenthood is in] hand in hand with their boy friends/husbands.  Is this taking place so they can kill [their] unborn baby through medication abortion?  We know the answer and our hearts break every time we see it take place.

Is the City of Rocky River consumed by violence to get what it wants?

• Stand and Pray the 15 decade Rosary and recite the Chaplet of Divine Mercy with us.  See me as I display my graphic abortion sign to try to turn people away from abortion.  Our reply from the Rocky River public?  We get hate filled screams, curses, threats on my life, harassment, violations of our civil rights and we are treated as common criminals.  I am screamed at to go home to my community [sorry, I live here].  We have water, pop and objects thrown at us.  We have people tamper with our parked cars.  We have indecent/obscene ‘physical gestures’ clearly and directly shown to us.  We also have people come right up to us to try to stop us from praying and from displaying our graphic abortion signs.  We don’t.

Has the City of Rocky River become poor for its protection of abortion in its City?

• Perhaps [the late] Mother Teresa of Calcutta can also answer that, "It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish." [U.S. National Prayer Breakfast in Washington D.C. February 3, 1997]

• As long as The City of Rocky River has the City Law “to preserve and protect … a woman’s right to an abortion;” … in Rocky River, Ohio” [CHAPTER 753 Ambulatory Surgical Facility (ASF) License].

• It will be said about the City of Rocky River, “Behold, your house will be abandoned, desolate.”  Matthew 23:38

As Christ was once a baby.  We must [in His Name] continue the struggle to protect and save all unborn babies from abortion and death. 

• As Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior said,”… whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.'” Matthew 25:40

What a lovely Christmas Present to offer Our Lord and Savior this Christmas.  They Day we celebrate His Birth.  Is to offer to Him our ‘worthy effort’ to protect and save His "... least brothers ..." Matthew 25:40 the unborn babies from abortion/death.

MEDITATION: My spirit is restless, yet bolder, brasher and more aware of the extreme evil in Rocky River.  Yet I take comfort in God, My Family, My Friends and My Faith to realize - for to fight evil I speak out against evil, to do good to all, and to pray for the World, My City, My Family, My Friends and Myself.

PRAYER: ABORTION – THE SPIRITUAL BATTLE

Eternal Father Your Son Lived, Suffered and Died for us so we could have Life abundantly. 

Lord we are now locked into a 'spiritual battle' between those who do not have respect for Your gift of life and seek to kill Your Creation ... the unborn baby!

As we see You the 'Suffering Christ' in the Aborted Unborn of Mankind.

We seek to protect that life ... the unborn baby that You so lovingly send to us as a gift from You.

Grant peace and eternal life for the almost 50 million unborn American babies who already have been savagely murdered since 1973 and ask them Dear Lord to forgive and pray for us.  Amen- Fred Sokol
