For Immediate Release:
ROCKY
RIVER – A loyal advocate for Rocky River residents, since 1993,
Fred Sokol will run for mayor in 2009, and seek support from the
‘local pro-life community’ as well.
Sokol lost
the Rocky River mayoral election last week in a three-way race.
“My
platform is protecting all life from conception to the grave in
Rocky River, tax relief, added police protection and a public
servant city hall,” Sokol says. “I will continue to work to
stop abortion in Rocky River. My effort will also give me the
support I need from the ‘local pro-life community’ to
help me defeat the entrenched ‘liberal Republican (RINO)
city hall’. This city hall has dominated River politics for
more than fifty years, and I plan to defeat them on election
day,” added Sokol.
Sokol also says he is being more aggressive in letting people
know what is going on at Rocky River city hall and getting
residents more involved in their city. “I am planning a
‘community message board’ to invite residents to “sound off” on
their city and their officials. I also plan to offer residents
‘simulcast’ of city council meetings on my community website
www.rockyriverfred.com
as well,” Sokol
says proudly.
Sokol is confident once he is elected mayor he will bring Rocky
River into a hopeful, citizen involved and positive 21st
Century.
Respectfully, Fred Sokol –
