FRED SOKOL: CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SPEECH FOR ROCKY RIVER MAYOR 2007

"Current administration apparently sees no reason to use ‘tax incentives’ to attract and keep new businesses and residents.  Aren’t they aware residents and businesses left for greener pastures and empty homes and empty storefronts, dot our city?" (Taken from "FRED SOKOL: CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SPEECH FOR ROCKY RIVER MAYOR 2007" (October 13, 2007 By FRED SOKOL)

Dear Fellow Resident,

I (FRED SOKOL ROCKY RIVER MAYORAL CANDIDATE 2007) WILL ATTEND AND PARTICIPATE AT THE … ROCKY RIVER CHAMBER OF COMMERCE 2007 PROGRAM FEATURING THE MAYORAL CANDIDATES.

  • FROM 12:30 TO 1:30 P.M.

  • AT THE "MEET THE ROCKY RIVER MAYOR CANDIDATES" ON THURSDAY OCTOBER 25TH, 2007.

  • AT THE DON UMERLEY CIVIC CENTER, 21016 HILLIARD BLVD, ROCKY RIVER.

  • BELOW IS THE SPEECH I WILL GIVE.

Dear Rocky River Business Leaders,

As Mayor, Rocky River will work together and be number one again. How?

·         I’ll ‘cut property tax’ to attract and keep residents and businesses in Rocky River.

·        Current administration apparently sees no reason to use ‘tax incentives’ to attract and keep new businesses and residents.

·        Aren’t they aware residents and businesses left for greener pastures and empty homes and empty storefronts, dot our city?

·      Max’s Deli and Target recently left Rocky River for Fairview Park.  A once popular family restaurant and grocery store are empty at Rockport Shopping Center in Ward 4.   Other ‘major businesses’ left Rocky River in the past as well.

As Mayor, and together, number one will be ours again.
