(1.)  MY CAMPAIGN WILL ‘DEFINE ME’

• I will Campaign as ‘The Pro-Life Candidate’ for Mayor of Rocky River.  When I’m elected Mayor of Rocky River, I will ‘respect, support and protect life’ from conception to the grave, in our community.  As Our God is the ‘Author of Life’ surely I will protect the lives He created. SEE: ABOUT FRED SOKOL.

• I will also Campaign as Pro-Family, Pro-Individual, and Conservative.  I am here to serve all residents.  The following sayings inspire and guide me.  “The People Shall Lead, and The Leaders Shall Follow.” And “To Serve Humanity, is the Best Work of Life.”  I also believe in God and Country, Freedom, The U.S. Bill of Rights, American Self Determination and Responsibility.  Strong, Kind and Ethical Leadership and To Never Turn Your Back on Your Own also, “Less Tax, Less City Government, More Freedom!”  SEE: FRED SOKOL’S CORE VALUES.  

• I will petition voters’ signatures, to put a charter addition that “Limits Rocky River City Government Spending, Surplus and Taxation,” Unto either, the Rocky River November 6^th, 2007 Municipal Election Ballot – or unto the Rocky River November 4^th, 2008 Municipal and U.S. Presidential Election Ballot.  SEE: LIMIT ROCKY RIVER CITY GOVERNMENT SPENDING, SURPLUS AND TAXATION.  Thus, it defines me to voters as a ‘Fiscal Conservative’, not as a ‘Present Rocky River City Hall Tax and Spend Liberal’.

• I will also petition voters’ to put me on the Rocky River November 6^th, 2007 ‘Rocky River Mayor’ Municipal Election Ballot with approximately 500 valid signatures (600 is maximum).  This is to show that people want to decide if they finally want change at Rocky River City Hall! SEE: REFORM ROCKY RIVER CITY GOVERNMENT.   Thus giving electors a chance to get to know me better as a Candidate for Rocky River Mayor for November 6^th, 2007.

• I will tell voters how Rocky River City Government fumbled, bumbled and miscued with (Failed Leadership, an Un-Elected Leaderless, Visionless, Mayor, a Green Inexperienced Council and the Political Mistakes they made.)  Thus, this will define me to the voters as a Candidate for Rocky River Mayor for November 6^th, 2007, who really wants to and will clean up Rocky River city hall.

• I will also Campaign telling voters, I am there at council meetings (over fourteen (14) years) to voice my opinion, direction and solution.  I will tell voters I tried to lead and led city government away from the misdirection of the ‘status quo’ and tried to lead them to the real leaders of our community, you the people of Rocky River.  SEE: FRED SOKOL’S EDITORIALS

(2.)  I WILL ASK ‘TOUGH QUESTIONS’ TO MY CITY HALL OPPONENT (WHOEVER IT IS)

• I will challenge any Rocky River City Hall Candidate that may run for Mayor against me with the following three (3) questions (below) about Rocky River City Government’s Lack of Accountability and Lack of Ability!

(1.)          “Why Rocky River City Government could not tell me where every penny went of their proposed spending budgets from 1990 through 2007 totaling $661,496,781.99 of taxpayers’ money?  In decimal that’s .66 Billion Dollars.  I could find out, if I went into City Hall’s Basement and looked into dusty cardboard boxes and found the ‘city financial information’ myself.  SEE: ROCKY RIVER CITY GOVERNMENT ‘PROPOSED BUDGETS’ 1990 THROUGH 2007.  City Hall Accountability, Nope.

(2.)          “Why hasn’t Rocky River City Government been able to give me a list of (1.) (A.) The Names of all employees, that are full-time, part-time, temporary, regular position and seasonal, (B.) who presently work and who did work – but not limited to – the Rocky River city government and at the Rocky River Wastewater Treatment Plant (C.) that now receive and have received a payroll check issued through – but not limited to – the Rocky River City Government – Department of Finance Office – from fiscal year 2007 and (2.) the Salary and Fringe Benefit ‘separate totals’ from each said employee per year – from fiscal year 2006 through fiscal year 2007 (3.) and who okayed these said (A.) city employees (B.) salaries (C.) and fringe benefits?  SEE: MY REQUEST FOR PUBLIC INFORMATION ON CITY WORKER INFORMATION FROM: MARCH 10, 2007 TO: ROCKY RIVER LAW DIRECTOR ANDREW BEMER (I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM MR. (3.)          It was reported in the Plain Dealer that: (“Cuyahoga’s exodus rivals that of Katrina Counties” Plain Dealer, Thursday March 22, 2007) – My question is: Where has Rocky River City Hall, Rocky River City Council and You Rocky River Civic Leaders been, in trying to stop the Plain Dealer reported ‘population loss’ not only in Cuyahoga County but assuredly in Rocky River?  City Hall Lack of Ability, Yep!

(3.)  MY CAMPAIGN WILL KEEP YOU INFORMED OF MY PROGRESS

• As I Campaign, I will also keep you posted on my website www.votesokol.com of my campaign movements, what people are saying and what my response to residents is.  The purpose of this ‘feedback’ is to show other candidates, voters, business community, schools, Rocky River Political Parties, and media what is important to Rocky River residents and my response to residents’ concerns and questions, also ‘my vision’ for all in Rocky River SEE: CONTRACT WITH RESIDENTS.

(4.)  I WILL TELL YOU WHY I’M RUNNING FOR MAYOR

• Since 1960 Rocky River residents lived under a ‘strong mayor and strong city council rule’, that has a stranglehold’ of our tax money, city government and us.  You can only guess what this Rocky River city government considered and tried to do and what residents like myself stopped, of their bad ideas.  What causes Rocky River strong mayor and city council to be so powerful, disconnected and dominate?

• The Rocky River Charter established in 1960 has empowered, protected and guaranteed ‘The Mayor and City Council’ a stranglehold control of our money, city government and us.  Don’t believe me, just read Rocky River’s City Charter.  Perhaps you can’t handle the truth?

• When I am elected Mayor of Rocky River in November, 2007 and with the passage of “Limiting Rocky River City Government Spending, Surplus and Taxation”, I plan to give back the ‘decision making process and control of our city to the voters.  Then with the passage of The Limiting of Rocky River City Government Spending, Surplus and Taxation’.  We will have ‘Less Tax, Less City Government and More Freedom’ taxpayers will also have more of their money back as well.  That is why I am running for Mayor of Rocky River in 2007!

• It is time to have a mayor at Rocky River city hall that is connected to the people and to make the Rocky River City Charter work for us, the people of Rocky River.  That person is me!  It is also time to put a leash on ‘Rocky River City Government’s Spending, Surplus and Taxation and of course, Rocky River City Hall.    

• Why?  Rocky River city government so far has proposed spending budgets from 1990 through 2007 totaling $661,496,781.99.  In decimal that is .66 Billion Dollars.  It is time to put a muzzle on Rocky River city government spending, or we will all go broke and I also plan to make Rocky River City Government, “Of, By and For The People” and bring “Less Tax, Less City Government and More Freedom” to Rocky River.  Wow, what a breath of fresh air.  SEE: ROCKY RIVER CITY PROPOSED BUDGETS’ FROM 1990 THROUGH 2007.

(5.)  I WILL TELL YOU ‘MY’ MESSAGE FOR ALL ROCKY RIVER TO EMBRACE

• With input from my many friends and my efforts to ‘Verbally Deal’ with a ‘Liberal Tax and Spend’ Rocky River City Government, my ‘conservative, positive and visionary’ message and direction for all of Rocky River to embrace was set up.  Along with my pointing out, that the Present Rocky River city hall with its ‘failed leadership, un-elected mayor and inexperienced/visionless council’ needs to be swept out as well.  SEE: FRED SOKOL’S ‘MISSION STATEMENT’

• My simple message is for all Rocky River residents and voters to embrace.  “Less Tax, Less City Government, More Freedom”, is an easy message to accept and any opponent of mine cannot criticize. 

 IN CLOSING!

• As they say on my street.  “(Rocky River) City Hall has a lot of explaining to do.”  They also say, “Don’t blame me, I voted for Fred (Sokol) for Mayor.”  They were even going to get T-Shirts made up that said that.

• Sounds like voters want a second look at me for mayor.
