Fred Sokol - Mission Statement – And Why?
“When I’m elected Mayor in 2007 as an Independent and Visionary
Leader – I will benefit Rocky River, replace
everyone at city hall, audit city hall books
back to 1990, and start new. I will also
bring - Less Tax, Less City Government, More
Freedom – to Rocky River.” My implemented
‘contract
with residents’
and
‘reform
Rocky River city government’
proposals will do this.”
My Campaign To Seek The Office Of Mayor Of
Rocky River, Ohio In 2007. Begins With My
Mission Statement!
The Release of My Mission Statement Above Tells
Everyone,
There Is
No Debate, No Question
Where I Stand On City Issues. There Is
No Debate No Question
What I Will Do Once I Am Elected Mayor Of
Rocky River In 2007. There Is
No Debate No Question
Why I Want To Serve and Support Rocky River,
The Community! THE RULES HAVE CHANGED
TODAY, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! IT IS TIME TO
SWEEP OUT CITY HALL. TIME HAS COME TODAY!
Because God Is My Pilot!
My Mission Statement Spells Out …
· How
I plan to bring Less Tax, Less City
Government, More Freedom to Rocky River!
· It
defines how I will impact and benefit
residents, schools and businesses and our
community as a whole
and how we will decide our city’s future
direction, together.
|
Tax Cuts,
|
Safer Citizens,
|
Guaranteed Jobs for Residents,
|
Protecting Citizen Rights,
|
Preserving Homes/Neighborhoods,
|
Town Hall Meetings
and
more are planned for the community. My
proposals are the first time residents ever
heard of benefits like this in Rocky River.
· How
I also plan to
‘sweep clean’ Rocky River city hall and make
it fully accountable and fully responsive to
the taxpayer, yet in a limited role in the
community! Please, if you have a
problem with that. Please let me know.
scrdhrt2@cox.net
· My
core values
that motivate and inspire me also
appear in my plan suggesting what kind of
Independent and Visionary Leader I will be,
and what I will want to see happen in Rocky
River for 5 years, for 10 years, and for 20
years into the future!
· Finally,
My Mission Statement, gives a sneak peek
into what a Rocky River City Hall with Fred
Sokol as Mayor would be like! (This
specific point will be a ‘new page’ on my
website
www.votesokol.com
shortly - stay tuned.) It will explain
how city hall will openly
communicate and respond with residents,
schools and business concerns. How city
hall will make decisions, plan for future
direction/growth, set priorities and solve
problems. Most importantly how City
Hall will create the ‘community atmosphere’
to encourage residents and businesses to
come to, and stay in Rocky River.
·
Lastly my
mission statement mirrors my purpose, my
vision and my core values that will play out
in the way I serve residents, schools and
businesses of Rocky River, when I’m elected
Mayor in 2007!
WHY! - Fred Sokol - Mission Statement?
I consider this moment in
Rocky River’s History, a vulnerable and
unstable time!
Rocky River fell in 2006 with
failed leadership, homes foreclosed, people
moving out of Rocky River, even the Rockport
Shopping Center has no grocery store for the
residents in Rocky River’s Ward 4. Will
another store be leaving Rockport Shopping
Center in Rocky River’s Ward 4 soon as
well? U.S. mail delivery was blocked in
some areas of our city because parts of
Rocky River were buried in snow.
Then there is Cleveland who wants Rocky
River’s Waterlines! Hey, it only gets
better! Once Cleveland controls Rocky
River’s waterlines then Cleveland may then
annex Rocky River and turn it into a
Cleveland neighborhood! Don’t believe me?
Ask the City of Columbus, Ohio how they got
so big!
Yet why worry? Our
leaderless and disconnected elected Rocky
River officials seem to ignore these
important city issues - while focusing on
the insignificant. For example:
·
Rocky River city government elected
officials cheerlead about 'squeaky sneakers'
and babble about their favorite 'family
game' at council. Aren’t Rocky River
council meetings fun? While for several
years the Rocky River Rockport Shopping
Center in Ward 4 remains empty of a grocery
store. While Ward 4 residents continue to
ask for a grocery store and are denied.
· One
elected Rocky River official managed to
attend a luncheon while just a couple days
earlier, 14 to 16 inches of snow fell in
Rocky River. Good thing this Rocky River
elected official wasn’t walking to this
luncheon on a Center Ridge Road sidewalk.
Sidewalks on the main street of Center Ridge
Road in Rocky River, were buried in snow and
residents walked in the main street
compromising their safety that day! I know,
I was one of them.
·
It only gets sillier. That next Tuesday, an
elected Rocky River official had the nerve
to offer kudos to another Rocky River
elected official at the council meeting,
for Rocky River snow removal efforts.
Instead of making grandiose statements for public consumption. Why didn’t Rocky River city
officials all get shovels and go out and
clean up Center Ridge Road’s sidewalks?
·
While
Cleveland stands at Rocky River’s gate,
ready to come in and take over all of Rocky
River’s Waterlines. Will the final page of
Rocky River’s History be only a notation
that reads, “Squeaky Sneakers, Family Game
Day, Luncheon Rather than Snow Removal, and
Rocky River Is Annexed To the City of
Cleveland”? It Could Be!
· If you want failed leadership, homes foreclosed, people
moving out of Rocky River, a closed grocery
store, and Cleveland grabbing Rocky River.
Support the elected Rocky River officials
‘whose watch’ all this is happening on.
