On Monday, February 5th
at 7:00 P.M. at Rocky River city hall council
chambers, a Cleveland city official will talk to
Rocky River city council.
About, three (3) economic
regional agreements, the city of Cleveland want
Rocky River to enter into with Cleveland.
-
‘The gridiron enthusiast Rocky River city
council’ who recently rescheduled their
council meeting from (Monday) January 8th to
(Tuesday) January 9th. Why? To watch an
Ohio State/Florida College Football Game!
-
They will decide Rocky River’s ‘economic
fate’ with Cleveland, and for possibly up to
twenty (20) years.
-
That said,
(1.) Demand for ‘Full Public Disclosure’
(2.) and ‘Recall’ is coming from
residents!
‘Said Agreements’
are:
-
Amendment to Water Service Agreement for
direct service between the city of Cleveland
and the city of Rocky River:
-
Asset Transfer Agreement:
-
Joint Economic Development Zone Agreement
Between The City Of Cleveland and The City
Of Rocky River, Ohio:
If council accepts
these agreements, there will be future
ramifications in Rocky River that council and
the city administration may have not yet
considered.
-
It appears Cleveland will take over Rocky
River's waterlines. So Rocky River must
share Rocky River's income tax money with
Cleveland. Then have Rocky River allow it
to be gobbled up in an "economic development
zone agreement" with Cleveland.
-
Furthermore, even when some of these
‘football fan council members’ will be gone
from the political scene. A future
generation of Rocky River taxpayers will
still be footing the bill, for these guys’
possible bad decision with Cleveland.
-
A friend recently suggested that residents
sign a petition telling council. Residents
do not want council to make any deals with
the city of Cleveland. I agree with him and
support him totally.
-
May I also suggest a ‘citizen petition
filing’, against these ‘left out in the
cold’ council members from Rocky River? Do
you know how to spell
RECALL?
So what if it is an election year for Rocky
River elected officials?
-
I will
push to initiate two (2) Rocky River city
wide petitions to recall two (2) Rocky River
elected officials. (1.) Against one elected
official on Council. (2.) Against one
elected official from the Rocky River City
Government Administration.
-
Then have the two (2) ‘recall petitions’
placed on the November Rocky River Municipal
Ballot for 2007.
-
Next week I will request all public information,
pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 149.43 (B),
from the City of Rocky River regarding the
Rocky River/Cleveland ‘said agreement’. To
see who in Rocky River brought this
‘regionalism agreement’ to Rocky River
Council anyway.
-
I will expect an answer from my ‘request for public
information’ before the Rocky
River/Cleveland Agreement meeting on Monday,
February 5th. That will take
place in Rocky River.
In closing, I
suggest citizens to attend the Rocky River
council meeting on
Monday, February 5th at 7:00 P.M. at
Rocky River city hall council chambers,
regarding the Rocky River and Cleveland
Agreement.
Finally, people
say, just elect our public officials and let
them make the decisions for us. That's fine, if
you are an ostrich with your head stuck in the
sand!
Yet in Rocky
River's case. Rocky River elected
officials are on the brink of giving away our
'waterline rights' and for what? So we can
share our tax money with Cleveland? Has
this world gone insane? What's next?
That pigs fly?
